Hi,

Due to a transfer (non-fee, by mutual consent, etc), we have lost our rather talented goalie during the close season and are looking for a replacement player, preferably one who enjoys playing in goal.

Whilst a player with previous seasons experience would be preferred, we would be willing to consider someone who was keen to play and keen to learn.

The U12 age-group is for players starting senior (big!) school in September 2010 and this is our lads first season of 11-a-side matches.

If you know of anyone who might be interested in completing our squad for the coming season then feel free to pass on my phone number (2062 3526).

Many thanks, and good luck for the coming season

Just to remind U15A that the game on Saturday has been moved by mutual consent to Coed Glas School in Llanishen.

update to my previous post. Just had another look at the site and have now sorted out the admin access. So could now do an update to the contacts or do a dedicated page. I would prefer the latter as it is alot quicker to do.

Happy to set this up if someone sends me the information.

Cheers

Hi Peter

This is something I am keen to update but do not have the details to post up. However, I do have another problem at the moment in that I cannot access the admin panel of the site. So, until I sort this out we won't be able to update anything. Sorry!!

Cheers

Steve

Don't know if anyone has seen this, but I would expect most of you would agree - Doug over at Heath Park Rangers has set-up a facebook page to highlight the disgusting state of community football pitches in Cardiff. Doug invites you to submit any photos of poor pitches, or simply comment on the pitches if you wish!

The facebook page is as follows:

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=373648449874&v=info

So if you are on facebook join up!!!

i appreciate the fact that organising fixtures takes a lot of work etc , but as regards the fact playing the same team in five weeks is wrong , just check out the fixtures ,since begining of feb we have played the same team 3 times and as we are coming into second weekend of march that makes it in the last five weeks!!

this is the third year ive been involved in mini football and its been like this since my lad started , playing the same batch of teams but some teams never play ..

only put this on to see if other teams experience the same thing but obviously not , as no replies except for 1 from the league .

RESPONSE TO NEIL THOMPSON FROM ROBIN DAVIES FIXTURES SECRETARY OF THE CARDIFF AND DISTRICT LEAGUE

Hi Neil

Just to respond to a comment on the website regarding playing the same teams again.

The comment regarding playing the same teams 3 times in 5 weeks is almost certainly not totally true as some of the weeks refereed to would almost certainly not have been played.

Also, clubs have to thank those who in the past, when teams played each other with possibly a better mix, have taken it on themselves to make their own league tables in what, as you know, is non competitive. The current system makes such tables somewhat irrelevant.

One other point, it is actually more complex in some ways organising the mini fixtures compared with the eleven a side, until somebody gets involved in the compilation of fixtures they would not appreciate what goes in to the task, I know, I did it for quite a number of years.

Trust this answers the comment.

Regards

Robin

Hi,

If anyone knows any U9 (year 4) players who are interested in joining a mini football team please put them in touch. We train on a Wednesday from 7-8 indoors at the moment and we still have a few fixtures left of this season.

Thanks,

Howard.
